Director Neil Jordan (”The Crying Game,” “Interview with the Vampire”) has a well-earned reputation for lushly photographed films with arresting and evocative themes. “The Company of Wolves” is his imaginative reworking of “Little Red Riding Hood” as a wonderfully wicked fairy tale for adults. Angela Carter adapted the screenplay from her own short story.
The story unfolds as young Rosaleen (Sarah Patterson) lies dreaming in her bed. A violent nightmare transports her back in time to a world of primeval forests and werewolves. In this netherworld she learns her only sister has been killed by a wolf. Her Granny (Angela Lansbury) weaves vivid tales of folklore and fantasy with warnings of fantastic beasts that lurk within men and foretelling the fate of all young girls who stray from the path.
“The Company of Wolves” is a unique excursion into horror–bathed in sensual imagery, punctuated with nightmarish special effects, and destined to become a modern cult classic.

In my opinion, “The Company of Wolves” is the best werewolf movie ever made, and one of the best Fantasy movies from the ’80s.

The first mobile Augmented Reality browser premiers in the Netherlands

Five Dutch content providers to participate in the worlds first AR browser

AMSTERDAM, Tuesday June 16th, 2009. Mobile innovation company SPRXmobile launches Layar, worlds first mobile Augmented Reality browser, which displays real time digital information on top of reality (of) in the camera screen of the mobile phone. While looking through the phones camera lens, a user can see houses for sale, popular bars and shops, jobs, healthcare providers and ATMs. The first country to launch Layar is The Netherlands. Launching partners are local market leaders ING (bank), funda (realty website), Hyves (social network), Tempo-team (temp agency) and Zekur.nl (healthcare provider).

How it works
Layar is derived from location based services and works on mobile phones that include a camera, GPS and a compass. Layar is first avaliable for handsets with the Android operating system (the G1 and HTC Magic). It works as follows: Starting up the Layar application automatically activates the camera. The embedded GPS automatically knows the location of the phone and the compass determines in which direction the phone is facing. Each partner provides a set of location coordinates with relevant information which forms a digital layer. By tapping the side of the screen the user easily switches between layers. This makes Layar a new type of browser which combines digital and reality, which offers an augmented view of the world.

Dutch launch
The premier launch is for the Dutch market. Launching content partners are ING (ATMs), Funda (houses for sale), Hyves (social network hot spots) Tempo-team (jobs) and Zekur.nl (healthcare providers). Layar will be launched per country with local content partners in order to guarantee relevent results for the end user. SPRXmobile is planning further roll-outs, together with local partners, in Germany, the UK and the United States this year. SPRXmobile wil continue with regular releases of new layers after each local launch. The Layar application will be available via the Android Market. Other handsets and operating systems are in development with a prime focus on the iPhone 3G S.

The legendary eight-time Big Mountain Rider of the Year winner has been working with TGR since its inception in 1996. Jones and the TGR Team have spent the last 15 years pioneering first descents in remote mountain ranges around the world and documenting them on film. “We started the company in the mountains and we have always stayed true to the big mountain side of the sport when the rest of the world was moving in a different direction. This collaborative film effort with Jeremy will be the first of its kind; a true pure riding film made deep in the mountains,” says TGR co- founder Todd Jones.

Jeremy and many other top freeriders including Jonaven Moore, Travis Rice and Xavier De La Rue will travel to remote ranges around the world as they attempt to push Big Mountain Riding to the next level.

1st Project
Ok this video is my first attempt to create a video with Windows Movie Maker (1). Basically if I never made this video, I wouldnt have as much interest in making videos as I do now. Anyway I created this video for a project back in Junior year for our MS Office class. A group of us had to create a company, and advertise it. It didn’t matter how ridiculous it was, we just had to create a company that does what ever! Our teacher expected us to use the regular programs like powerpoint, word, excel, but I thought of doing something different. I wasnt so sure if i could make it but I tried. So I asked if I could use Windows Movie Maker.

My group was kinda jackin around and saying stupid things and our company ended up being about selling land on the moon and for people to actually move and live there. They were like, yeah lets name our company “Moon Me Corporation” lol. I didnt really care and a guy made our crappy logo (which u will see in the beginning). Anyway this video is basically convincing people to move to the moon and showing why our world we live in is evil and corrupted.
I revised it just a bit when Windows Movie Maker 2.1 came out and when I used this video for my Intro to CS for my college course. Well enjoy!

Note: I ONLY use Windows Movie Maker 2.1 to edit my videos. All the timing and syncing was done by ear. No extra programs were used.

I am talking about companies that buy and refine the oil not the companies that actually sell the crude. When the price of wheat goes up, you don’t see bakers making record profits so how do oil companies pull this off?

Because people aren’t cutting back on buying it. Lok at SUV sales. Have they dropped? No. While driving do you see people driving more slowly to conserve? No. Until people slow their buying Oil companies will continue to make gret profits. Not sure I want the government controlling businesses though. It has to be done by supply and demand. Somebody needs to develop better alternatives and then we as consumers need to buy those alternatives.

I do not have any proof that i did it. But i know that you can not have a balance and move to another home and get your gas turned on in that home, which i did. What can i do to get an audit on that company to prove my innocence?
