You can post anything online that you want. There’s tons of online "directory" companies that do nothing more than aggregate information from other sites and repost it. The only things you need to worry about are copyrights (posting company logos is not always allowed) and liable suits – if you post something about a company that is detrimental to their business, they can sue you for liable.

I went to Enterprise the other day to return a car I rented from them. While I was there I had a small conversation with a woman there relating to nothing. Well after I got home I got a text from someone saying they found me attractive and asking if I had a girlfriend. I asked the texter their name and they told me and I remembered hearing it at Enterprise. She said "good detective skills" and went on about how she was older and more experienced and how she loves black men and whatever. I told her I had a girl, and she basically said too bad and that was the end of the convo.

I want to know if there is any law against taking customers phone numbers for personal use or any company guidelines, etc. I ain’t trying to sue or anything, I just want to know if this is common practice.

Not that you’d want her to be fired, but that’s the kind of thing she probably could be canned for. You could argue that one can find someone’s phone number online, but I can’t see an employer being thrilled about an employee digging through customer contact info to try and get laid. Makes them look unprofessional.

What is the policy for resetting a password. Can a Helpdesk person reset a password for a user, or does it need to be done by the Network Administrator (backoffice)?
But should the normal Helpdesk guy have admin rights on Active Directory, or does that also depend on company policy? Due to the fact that we are a government project, we are getting audited.

Its all comes down to company policy. technically anyone with Admin rights can reset them, who has those rights comes down to company policy
