I try not to post on these political videos. I am a regular american citizen who up until recently was one who trusted the government to do the right thing. “BUT” Cenk-why do you trust the democrats to do what’s best for us? All of these guys-it’s like the WWE. In front of the cameras Blah-Blah-Blah. That all changes as soon as the cameras are off. Your precious Rs proposed the fines as a compromise… pay attention, douche… No one is going to vote for this bill because the republicans took advantange of the bipartisan approach obama asked for. So in the end repub’s were not going to vote for it anyway and now the compromises demanded by the R’s is going to stop any dems from voting for it either. game over gg

I think you might want to look further into it from a freemarket point of view. I tried to look at it the socialist way, and all it did was scare me even more. If you garantee healthcare, more people will access it than planned. Less people will take care of their own health, because the government does it for them. You’ll only lower the living standards and you won’t realize it because the FDA loves to use bunk statistics. It also forces companies to charge more because of high risk individuals

the involvement of the goverment ( i mean public healthcare) doesnt influence the price of medicine, it just makes them accessible to more people.

you’re just missing the essence here. anyways the market is dominated by very few huge pharma-copmanies. futhermore how is “choice” reduced? public option or not: you can choose your doctor. in fact in without the public option the choice is even lower, only the rich can choose.
