As a fundraiser we are asked to send letters to family members and local buisnesses or companies asking for donations.Which companies are more likely to donate?restaurants?banks?department stores?idk.
please help.
thanks.

Volleyball-specific companies may be an option: Mizuno, Tachikara, Asics, Mikasa, etc. The economy is tough, though. Local places like bars, restaurants, and pizza joints may be willing if you put their name on your jerseys.

Start with local businesses first, because they are more likely to respond. Next, go with restaurants in your area. Even if they are chain restaurants, thats okay. Also, go to your local mall and ask if they can help, as well. Banks could also help, and if a parent owns a business that would be great too.

Locally owned businesses are your best bet, chains and corporations are much less likely to help out t. Start with places that have ties to your school, for example, close by, owners children attend or they attended themselves. Ask locally owned banks, construction companies/plumbers/roofers etc. Private practice doctors (especially those who specialize in sports medicine) restaurants, hotels. These are just some suggestions to start, really any local business is worth a shot asking.
