    This engine is equipped with dual ignition. 2 plugs per cylinder, it can be run on battery, magneto, or for most power both battery and magneto (which is how we run it).

    thats sounds plausible. i know ie heard of some model tt fords that had a mag and dissy. they could be switched from one to other for starting and running

    Some early 90’s ford ranger 4 cylinders had 2 plugs per cylinder.

    One set looks like points and coil and the other set looks like a magneto. Maybe its a dual ignition setup in case one fails.

    I googled that company..& I learned some things about my own hometown..but still didn’t find out where they were located..but they said many of those FT’s that are left..are in the upper parts of the state..just like Chazy.. :)

    disc transmission brake, interesting. They still don’t fit them to Land Rovers now! Drums all the way. Fantastic bit of kit, really nice restoration. Been looking at some old LR fire tenders at a show today, little bit smaller.
