Very interesting, …
Very interesting, but here is my plight.
Can you begin a ‘production company’, or at least have a filmmaking group “Name” that is soley yours without others able to take it? I heard its expensive to have a patent, so can anyone give me a good understanding of that?

Indeed you have to …
Indeed you have to do your research properly. A business plan may be helpful but as far as Film company goes its much more difficult to plot growth as there is no specific way to plot financial success.

You incorrectly …
You incorrectly described how to start ANY company.
Nothing you said is specific a production company.
You might want to mention a little thing called a Business Plan. Sorta important.

OK this sort of …
OK this sort of gives you the very basics of registering any company in America. Anyone wishing to actually do this needs to do a lot more research before making this decision. If you don’t think and plan ahead things will get very complicated down the road. I don’t say this to be discouraging, but just think.
