I live in Toronto and that is where the research company is based

The company is Desision Line Clinical Research

Has anyone had any prior/future history with them? What exactly do they do?

It really depends on what they ask of you. Sometimes is as simple as a questionnaire. Sometimes, they want you to consume so they can do certain tests. Rest assured you will not walk into it without being fully informed of their intentions. There is no harm in checking it out because you can always say "NO!"
